Ulysses Artis, 68, Hookerton transitioned at ECU Health Inpatient Hospice in Greenville on Thursday, March 7, 2024. There will be a wake held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held on March 16, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at Maury Chapel FWB Church in Snow Hill. Pastor Arnold Darden will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Artis Cemetery in Ayden.
He is survived by his son, Michael Torre Artis, daughter, Collier Lashawn Dixon, Snow Hill, NC, brothers, Jesse Ellis, Hookerton, NC, Russell Ellis, Ayden, NC, Cleve Ellis, Jr. Hookerton, NC, Alton Ellis, Kinston, NC, sisters, Sheila Jones, Hookerton, NC, Deborah Joyner, Snow Hill, NC, Mary Worthington, Snow Hill, NC, A host of grandchildren, uncles aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.Floral arrangements and condolences may be sent from our website to the Artis family.
