Maurice D. Simpson, 40, Greenville, died Thursday, October 17, 2019.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019,  at 1 PM at Mt. Pilgrim Disciples of Christ in Scranton, NC. A wake will be held one hour before the service. Interment will follow in the Simpson Family Cemetery in Beaufort, NC.

He is survived by his mother, Doretha Mackey, of Washington, NC, father, Marecell Mackey, of Greenville, NC, sons, Jaziah Rispress  of Raleigh, NC, Maurice Simpson, Jr., of Oxford, NC, stepson, Sincere Columbus of Washington, NC, daughters, Nyasia Simpson, of Oxford, NC, Wisdom Simpson, of Oxford, NC  brothers, Teto Simpson, of Ottawa,Canada, and Marcus Mackey, of Greenville, NC.  A host of other relatives and friends.
