Mary Ester Ray Dawson, 81, Snow Hill, NC, "Jason community" transitioned Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at her residence. There will be a wake  held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the St. Mary FWB Church in LaGrange.  A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 1:00  at the St. Mary FWB Church in LaGrange. Bishop Antonio Blow will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery in Snow Hill.

She is survived by her  sons, Murphy Dawson, Walter Dawson, Ervin Dawson, Jimmy Dawson, daughters, Carolyn Bates, Mabell Dawson, Shelia Daniels,Sharon Belcher,brother James Ray, sisters, Nina Ray, Barbara Jones. A host of  grandchildren,uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
