Josephine Cogdell Shackleford, 66, Hookerton, transitioned, Monday 29, 2023, at Lenoir UNC Health Care. A walk-in viewing will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:30 am at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

She is survived by her brothers, Ike Cogdell, Greenville, NC, John Cogdell, Farmville, NC, Robert Cogdell, Kinston, NC, Nathan Cogdell, Kinston, NC, David Cogdell, Snow Hill, NC, sisters, Irma Bobbitt, Fayetteville, NC, Bertha Clark, Hookerton, NC, Patricia Peterson, Hookerton, NC, and Hazel Hall, Kinston, NC. A host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
