Johnnie Mae Shepard Dixon, 94, Snow Hill died Friday, January 12, 2018, at her residence. Her visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018, from 6 PM to 8 PM at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 12 PM at the Shady Grove FWB Church, 401 Shady Grove Church Rd. Snow Hill, NC. Dr. J. Jerome Newton will be officiating. Interment will follow in the St. James AME Church Cemetery in Snow Hill NC.

She is survived by her children, Larry G. Dixon of Boston Mass, Eddie D. Dixon of Fort Wayne Indiana, Dale R. Dixon of  Norfolk Va, Linwood R. Dixon of Farmville NC, Melva A. Thursby of Mexia TX, Geraldine D. Britt of Snow Hill, Margie V. Dixon of Snow Hill, and Trudy Dixon of Snow Hill. One brother, Braxton Shephard of Boston Mass. A host of other relatives and friends.
