James Davis, 79, Snow Hill transitioned at Wayne UNC Health Care on Thursday, February 15, 2024. A walk-in viewing will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mills Memorial Gardens in Kinston.

He is survived by his wife, Emm Cotton Davis, Kinston, NC, son, James Davis, Jr., Pennsylvania, daughters, Rosemary Davis, Raleigh, NC, Nichole Davis, Raleigh, NC, Antionette Davis, Cary, NC, Tonya Lee, Manhattan, NY, Tara Lee, Newark, NJ, brothers, David Lee Davis, Kinston, NC, Clarence Davis, Kinston, NC, Roscoe Davis, Kinston, NC.  a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
