James Douglas Connor, 84, Maury, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at his residence. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 6 PM to 7 PM at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2 PM at the Antioch Church of Christ, 439 Ormondsville Rd., Hookerton, NC.  Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Lodge Hall, in Snow Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Connor of Snow Hill, sons, Nathaniel Jones, of New York, Tyrone Connor, of New York, and daughter, Deneen Connor, of New York.  Other children that he raised, Ruby Jean Connor, Yalinda Downs Chambers, and Maurice Exum. A host of other relatives and friends.
