Evangelist Evelyn Joyner, 72, Snow Hill, transitioned Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. There will be a walk-in viewing held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a wake held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Branch OFWB Church in Snow Hill. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Victory and Dominion World Outreach Center in Snow Hill. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Snow Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Chester Joyner, Snow Hill, NC, daughters, Tiffany Joyner Williams, Snow Hill, NC, Tammy Joyner Davis, Dinwiddie, VA, sons, Shelton Joyner, Prince George, VA, Maurice Kennedy, Garner, NC, brothers, Kelly Lee Smith, Jr., Snow Hill, NC, Elder Johnny Smith, Fremont, NC, and Timothy Wayne Smith, Fort Washington, MD, sisters, Missionary Clara Smith Shaw, Snow Hill, NC, Deaconess Eloise Smith Rountree, Cheverly, MD, Cynthia Smith Fleming, Seat Pleasant, MD, and Sheila Smith, Wilson, NC, and A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
