Essie Mae Yelverton, 88, of Snow Hill, NC, died on Monday, December 21, 2020, at her residence. Please wear your face mask and practice social distancing. A  viewing will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020, from 5 PM to 6 PM at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 2 PM at Washington Branch FWB Church in Snow Hill. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, James S. Yelverton, Greenville, NC, Willie E. Yelverton, Snow Hill, NC, Anthony Yelverton, Snow Hill, NC, daughters, Jackie Yelverton, Snow Hill, NC, Pastor Marlene Duncan, La Grange, NC, Laverne Yelverton, Stonebridge, CT, Carolyn Wakefield, Cleveland, OH. A host of other relatives and friends.
