Bishop Anna Bell Smith- Carr  92, Kinston, died at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, Saturday, April 23, 2022. Please practice social distancing and wear your face masks.  

  A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 4:55 PM, a visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Math and Esther Christian Church in Kinston.  The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Math and Esther Christian Church in Kinston. Pastor Ricky Freeman will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

She is survived by a son, Anthony Louis Carr,  daughters, Joyce Carr-Smith,  Barbara Carr-Simpson, Dr. Peggy Carr-Wilson, Gloria Carr-Battle, Monte Carr-Christian, sisters, Mary E. Smith, Sylvia Gray Dunn, Lillian Sutton, Melba Smith-Thompson. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
