Deacon Willie Dixon

Deacon Willie Lee  Dixon, 78,  of Hookerton, died on Friday, May 8, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the celebration of his life will be limited by invitations only requested by the family.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11 AM at Antioch Church of Christ. There will be a walk-in viewing on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Ayden Cemetery in Ayden, NC.  Pastor Donnie McLean will be officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Essie Jones Dixon, of Hookerton, NC, sons, Talsker Lee Dixon, of Winterville, NC, Thomas Jones, of New York, daughters, Valerie Dixon, Greenville, NC, Angelene Dixon, of Durham, NC, Wilma Joyner, of Durham, NC, LaTonya Dixon, of Grifton, NC, Patricia McMillen, of Kinston, NC, Melissa Robinson, of Raleigh, NC, sisters, Lola Bluford Mebane, Forestine Vaughn, Chapel Hill, NC, Margie Greene, Spring Hope, NC, Claudia Dixon, of Grifton, NC, brothers, Henry Dixon, New Haven, CT and John Dixon, of Grifton, NC. A host of other relatives and friends.
