David (Shag) Earl Braswell

David Earl Braswell, 67, Waldorf, MD (Formerly of Greene County) transitioned on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Above and Beyond Assisted Living Facility 6316 Josephine Rd. Waldorf, MD. There will be a vistation held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Saraphenia Sheppard will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.

David Earl Braswell, age 67, of Waldorf, MD, gained his wings on February 12, 2025. Born on January 17, 1958, in Snow Hill, NC. David was educated in the Greene County Public School System. Upon completion of his education, he relocated to Washington, DC, where he worked numerous jobs.  Most notably, he worked at KAMCO Building Supplies for over 20 years before retiring due to illness. 

He was the son of the late Lucille Braswell and the late Andrew Olds, both of Snow Hill, NC. David was also preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Alexander and brother, Joseph Braswell.

Loving memories of David will forever linger in the hearts of those he leaves behind, sisters, Vivian Dixon (and Norris) of Snow Hill, NC, Lane Williams of Snow Hill, NC, Gloria Couloote (and Sam) of Bladensburg, MD, brothers, Danny Braswell (and Dyrene) of Waldorf, MD, Mack Braswell (and Maria) of Waldorf, MD, and a very special aunt and cousin, Geraldine and Debbie Staton, both of Ft. Washington, MD. Although David didn’t have kids of his own, he leaves behind his nieces and nephews that loved him dearly and whom he absolutely adored and a host of family and friends.
