Carol Jean Barfield, 78, LaGrange, died Saturday, August 10, 2019,  at Lenoir UNC Health Care. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2019, at 1 PM at St. Peter FWB Church in Snow Hill. There will be a wake one hour before the service. Interment will follow in the St. Delight Cemetery in Walstonburg. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth of LaGrange, NC,  Norman Earl Barfield of Tarboro, NC, brothers, Alonza Croom of Walstonburg, NC, Matthew Jones of Fayetteville, NC, sisters Shirley Darden of Kinston, NC, and Lucy Swinson of Lanham, MD, A host of other relatives and friends.
