Billy Ray Jones, 62,  Snow Hill, NC, transitioned Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. There will be a  viewing held on Thursday, December 14,  2023,  from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Snow Hill. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 12:00 PM at the Holly Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Kinston. Pastor Ricky Howell will be officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

He  is survived by Evelyn Morgan, (Loving partner for 30 years), daughter, Tawanna Jones, New Bern, NC, brothers, Noris Dawson, York, NY, Lafayette Jones, Jr., Kinston, NC, Curtis Jones, Nashville, Tennessee, Ricky Jones, Snow Hill, NC, sisters, Charissa Banks, Kinston, NC, Helen Scott, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
