Bettie Dawson, 81, LaGrange transitioned at Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center in Wilson on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Lovick's Chapel AME Zion Church in LaGrange, NC. Pastor John Elliott, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange, NC.
She is survived by her sons, Benjamin Dawson, Jr., Camden, NJ, Alexander Dawson, Kinston NC, daughter, Tricia Schmidt, Otsego, Minnesota, brother, David Waters, Dudley, NC, sisters, Evelyn Waters, Forestville, MD, Barbara Andrews, Raleigh, NC, Carolyn Logan, Goldsboro, NC, Annie Battle, Garner A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Floral arrangements and condolences may be sent from our website to the Dawson family.
