Bertha Bell Rouse Kornegay, 94, Hillside, NJ (formerly of LaGrange) transitioned, Friday, April 21, 2023, at Brother Bonaventure Extended Care Center in Elizabeth, NJ. A walk-in viewing will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Snow Hill, NC. Apostle Douglas Kornegay will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange, NC.

She is survived by her sons, Marvin Kornegay, Hillside, NJ, John Dee Rouse, Kinston, NC, daughter, Carolyn Rouse Grant, Fayetteville, NC. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
